STAR TREK: DS9 “USS DEFIANT CAMERA TEST MODEL”

A camera test model created for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine that represents the “U.S.S. Defiant”. The item is multi-layered foam core painted gray with red detail lines penned in and both the name and registry numbers of the ship inscribed in their appropriate locations, the starboard side markings are significantly faded or rubbed away. Both the dorsal and ventral sides of the item feature damage or adhesive remains from the removal of a mounting rod. A fluorescent orange mounting rod was located with the item. The underside of the model is bears an inscription that reads ‘scaled to space station ¼ scale’. The item measures approx. 9 X 8 X 1.25 inches while the rod measures 13.25 X 0.5 inches diameter. The registry number on this item reads ‘NX-74205’ indicating that it was created to represent the original “Defiant” in this class despite how it may have been used for production purposes.
