STAR TREK: DS9 “HOLODECK OPPONENT COAT” FROM “THE ABANDONED”

A costume element featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “The Abandoned”; wherein “Quark” (Armin Shimerman) finds an abandoned “Jem'Hadar” infant, “Odo” (Rene Auberjonois) is the only one who can control him. The infant aged rapidly and soon “Odo” had him in the Holosuite taking out his natural aggression on holographic opponents instead of real ones’ this coat was made for wear by one of those opponents and is made of black neoprene with a pattern of raised, gray rubber dots. A black leather belt wraps around the waist and two pieces of rubber squared ‘armor’ runs from the front to the back on each side. A pair of corresponding gauntlets is also included. This coat was worn by veteran Trek stunt man and stand-in Tom Morga, a sewn in Deep Space Nine tag restates this as does the accompanying costumer’s tag.
