Record summary
A lot of props and John Eaves concept sketch artwork duplicates created for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Prodigal Daughter”. The lot consists of twenty white 11 X 17 inch paper duplicates, a ‘Director’s Plan’ consisting of eleven 11 X 17 inch paper duplicates indicating the sets used in the episode, and two fabricated Trill surveying equipment props. The props are two separate items, one being a horizontally positioned cylinder on an aluminum stake, and another reading device with a translucent green eye piece that features internal electronics that continue to function, on a metal stake that features an extending end. The second device depicts damage due to time and storage conditions in that the reverse bulb cover panel is missing and the head has been removed for shipping, the connection is weak, but the item presents an excellent one of a kind display piece. The first item features internally electronics that are disconnected; both items are powered by two 9volt batteries each. The concept sketches include a depiction of the props dated ‘10/98’ and reading ‘surveying Equipment “Trill”’. Three of the sketches are of prospective options for the ‘Tigan’ family household, none of which are the final version appearing in the production, three are of a mining drill, one of which appears as schematics with Trill iconographic lettering. The other single sheets depict “Ezri Dax’s” (Nichole De Boer) egg collection, a Trill PADD (Personal Access Display Device), a Trill tricorder, mining equipment, bags, and more. The director’s plan includes the sets of the Captain’s office, and Ezri’s Quarters, Quarks!, the Promenade, Security, and the Replimant on “Deep Space Nine”, a Runabout interior; also, new sets including the Tigan family living room (spelled ‘Tiyan’ here), “Yana’s” (Leigh Taylor-Young) office.
