HERO ILLUMINATING MEDICAL TRI-CORDER AND SCANNER USED BY ROBERT PICARDO AS “THE DOCTOR” IN STAR TREK: VOYAGER

Record summary

(Paramount TV, 1995-2001) This impressive hero tri-corder is made of cast resin painted silver, and has several embedded LEDs that illuminate and variously oscillate when the hinged cover is opened. A “TR-590 Tricorder X”, this prop was used by Robert Picardo as “The Doctor” in many episodes of the series. Most significantly, this tri-corder features a machined aluminum medical scanner which is housed in a small cut-out on the back side of the tri-corder; the scanner can be removed and used for close examination of patients. When the small brass microswitch on the side is depressed, the side and front-facing LEDs of the scanner light up and oscillate. A fantastic hero tri-corder and scanner with several illuminating features! The workmanship on these pieces is extraordinary. Also includes the original black holster with belt clips for attachment to a Starfleet belt.
