William Shatner Starfleet wrist communicator from Star Trek: The Motion Picture

(Paramount, 1979) This original prop armbandstyle wrist communicator is cast in resin with a metal band, and painted crème with black detailing and a reflective strip affixed to the top. The inside armband is written in light pen, “Kirk”. Made by Brick Price, this is one of only a few hero pieces that were fabricated from resin; all of the similar watches made for background personnel were made of vaccu-form plastic. Minor crack on the edge, which is virtually unnoticeable and does not affect the overall presentation, and the original inside foam padding on the wrist has since deteriorated; otherwise, the piece is in very good condition for its age.
