STAR TREK: DS9 “USS VALIANT” TECHNOLOGY ANALYZER

A unique hand prop featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Valiant” where it appeared on screen during a speech given over the ship wide com by “Tim Watters” (Paul Popowich). The item is a metallic silver colored item with two sliding features that separate to reveal a ‘display screen’ graphical application depicting a wave pattern, spectrum, and technical readout. The ‘screen’ is listed as being a ‘Cardassian Tech Analysis 4747’ in the LCARS style (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System). Multiple faux buttons and multi-colored details are present on the exterior slides and two different Starfleet inventory applications are present on the reverse, a red 24th century style one inscribed ‘Emergency Access Panel 32-2398’ and another one colored topaz with a white border and inscriptions depicting numeric values (the second may be Star Trek: Enterprise era). When one of the slides is pulled it increases the overall mass of the item by 3 inches. The item measures approx 11 X 7 X 2 inches.
