Whitefield and Gene Roddenberry, inscribed on the inside front cover in black ink to William Theiss’ father by Gene Roddenberry: “Thank you for your son Bill! We could not have made it at all without him. Gene Roddenberry”. A wonderful association and an important testament from Star Trek’s creator regarding William Ware Theiss, who designed all of the show’s spectacular costumes.
