STAR TREK: ENT “ORION NEUROLYTIC RESTRAINTS AND ACTIVATOR” FROM “BORDERLAND”

Record summary

A lot of props featured in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode “Borderland” for use by Orion Guards in the discipline of their prospective slave sales. One item, the ‘neurolytic restraint activator’ is made from molded resin with metal screw details, and a flashing yellow light. The item is powered by two internally mounted V392 sized batteries, activated by a depression button on the side. A departure from most Star Trek props, the lights will continue to flash at interval when activated whereas most others cease their electrical feature upon release of the button. This item is painted to have a metallic silver sheen that is dulled down by a paint scheme made to distress the item to the point that it appears used and to match the design of the Orion slavers. Also included are two static ‘nurolytic restrains’ with no electronic features made from cast resin These items are painted metallic silver with black painted details and metal wire side mounted ‘pins’ meant to appear as though they have punctured and grasped the skin of the wearer (the items appeared on the side of the neck of the characters in the episode). The item measures approx. 1.5 X 1.75 X .60 inches. The ‘activator’ measures approx. 3 X 2 X 0.5 inches.
