STAR TREK: VOY “INTERPLEXING BEACON POWER ACTUATOR” FROM “TIMELESS”

Record summary

A set of prop items appearing variously in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager. The lot, in this configuration, is a temporal interplexing beacon power generator featured in the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Timeless” for use by “Harry Kim” (Garret Wang) in his alternate future personal. The lot consists of a mid-sized ‘work bench’, an adjustable frame, and a bracing. The bracing is composed of polished metal with an acrylic ‘circuit board’ with silk screened circuitry and remaining adhesive residue from the Borg temporal implants in the episode (not yet located). The adjustable frame is a frequently reoccurring prop appearing in multiple episodes in varying capacities, most frequently as a medical scanner in Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes like “All Good Things…” for use by “Gerodi LaForge” (LeVar Burton); the item is cast resin with pivoting arms, a bank of white lights still wired to exposed leads visible in the center opening. The lights on one side are capable of power when connected to a standard 9volt battery. The bench is made from vacuum formed plastic with a ridged black rubber surface applied to the surface, and a series of lights housed in the front. The internal electronics are powered by six AA sized 1.5volt batteries (not included) and activated by a silver colored button on the front of the device, the frequency of the lights blinking can be controlled by a bottom positioned dial. The lights are colored orange, green, and red. The bench top can easily be lifted off the base granting access to the internal electronics. The bench and frame are painted metallic silver and pewter with multiple accents. The bench measures approx. 10 X 8.25 X 2.25 and the frame with the attached bracing measures approx. 10.75 X 7.25 X 2 inches. The items are in generally good condition, the bench is adorned by two Starfleet inventory applications, one 24th century one on the reverse is metallic silver and reads ‘Neuristic Subsystems HL-9000. Authorized Engineering Access Only. Open the pod bay door, Hal. Hal, open the pod bay door. You know I can’t do that, Dave’; the 22nd century one on the right side features numeric values and indicates use in episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise.
