STAR TREK: TNG “SCANNER”

A hand prop believed to have been created for use in Star Trek: The Next Generation. The item is a hollowed out cast resin wand with an acrylic screen and a translucent element at the end both of which features working internal lights. The item is powered by a single 9volt battery held internally that activates lights in the element and behind the acrylic screen when one of two switches on the reverse are activated. The screen lights up to reveal a series of numeric values and a red and a green bulb which flash in sequence as well as a set of five lights which flash in sequence skipping the middle as if the light is traveling down. The item is painted metallic gunmetal with adhesive metallic silver detail lines. The lighted element at the top is held on by black adhesive tape, the battery is held within. The item measures approx. 2.5 X 7.5 X 1.5 inches. Batteries not included.
