STAR TREK VI: “FEDERATION PRESIDENT’S KHITOMER AIDE – PURPLE”

A costume featured in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country for wear by aides to the president of the United Federation of Planets. The costume is composed of reflective silver colored folded over fabric making up a long dress topped with green shoulder straps. Over it is worn a cropped purple nylon jacket with long sleeves and beveled cuffs. The costume appears briefly in the feature film trailer to depict the Federation President blind as much of his species is but the costume is rarely visible in the theatrical or DVD release. Costume continuity photographs also depict the lot with additional raw wool garments that were developed for the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Angel One” but which are no longer available.
