WILLIAM SHATNER LAUREL WREATH FROM THE STAR TREK EPISODE “PLATO’S STEPCHILDREN”

(NBC-TV, 1966-69) This laurel headpiece is constructed of bright green plastic leaves, affixed to a metal wire headband which is covered in green plastic tape, with gold bouillon and green ribbon tie at the back of the wreath. Worn by Shatner as Capt. James T. Kirk during an extraordinary scene, when he is forced by his captors to kiss Lt. Uhura (played by Nichelle Nichols). A singular moment in television history, this was the very first interracial kiss ever shown on television!
