STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE “VARIS SUL” COSTUME

A young ‘Bajoran' village leader “Varis Sul” (Gina Phillips) negotiated a settlement between her village and a neighboring one in the tenuous time following the ‘Cardassian occupation’ during the episode “The Storyteller” of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The costume is made up of shiny green pants that zip up the back and clasp at the top with black elastic stirrups at the feet; and a green and black wavy patterned dress that contains matching swaths of the green pants material asymmetrically around the neck and that zips up the back and clasps at the neck. The cuffs at the wrists are of the same green material to elicit the idea of a matching long sleeve undershirt. There is also a hair band wrapped in the same green and black fabric as the dress, and a black hair barrette. The interior tags indicate use on Star Trek: Voyager and the costume tag is inscribed ‘DS9, Varis Sul, Gina Phillips’.
