Klingon costume from the Star Trek feature films and Star Trek: TNG

(Paramount, 1987-94) A Klingon costume originally constructed for the Star Trek feature films and later re-used in Star Trek: TNG and Star Trek: DS9. The costume is comprised of a leather jacket with fur sleeves featuring Klingon insignia and communicator badge, grey pleated spandex pants, leather boots with toe spikes, belt with ammo pouch, holster with shoulder chain, leather collar piece, and plastic spine cover. The costume features a number of labels with different actor names, including the smaller, older “Paramount” label seen in film-era Trek pieces. The main difference in the feature Klingon costumes and the costumes made for Star Trek VI or the later television shows is the jacket- the feature style Klingons have a genuine leather jacket, while other Klingon costumes used a cheaper vinyl. An important and instantly-identifiable <em>Star Trek </em>costume.
