Klingon Bird of Prey oversized wing section from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

(Paramount, 1989) This large-scale model miniature wing of the Klingon Bird of Prey wing was constructed by master model maker Greg Jein and used for close up shots in <em>Star Trek V: The Final Frontier</em>. The wing model is built around a metal frame and constructed of acrylic and styrene. It has been airbrushed with the Klingon emblem and Klingon lettering, to match the model of the complete ship. The wing features a recoil mechanism on the gun barrel that was stop motion animated, frame by frame, for the shots early on in <em>Star Trek V</em> where the Klingons are firing at space debris. Measures approx. 4 ft. long.
