STAR TREK: VOYAGER “DISTANT ORIGIN – VOTH” COSTUME

Record summary

Featured in the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Distant Origin” in which a group of dinosaur like aliens, the ‘Voth', attempt to locate and explore “Voyager” with their superior technology. Hoping to discover whether or not their species is somehow related to mammals they are eventually forced to put their journey to rest when the consequences of their actions run up against the doctrine of their race. This costume is made up of several parts; a pair of padded body suits, one worn over the other, to create the appearance of a truly alien being and a scale like costume jumpsuit with an embedded ridge running up the center of the front. The costumer’s tag is inscribed ‘165 Distant Origin, ND Voth, Lois Ortiz.’
