Record summary
“Data” (Brent Spiner) was the beloved Soong-type android from the Star Trek: The Next Generation series. As the one and only android being to enter Starfleet, Data strove to learn as much as possible about what it means to be human. The sewn in tag on the jumpsuit reads “Data, #1, Brent” however this has been crossed out and “Stand in” has been written over it. It also says “wetsuit” possibly referencing that this costume was originally used by Spiner during the Star Trek: Insurrection feature in which “Data” is seen under water in his uniform. It is likely that the costume was later reused by ‘stand-in' actors. The jumpsuit is black with grey quilted shoulders and loops around the waist for ‘away team’ gear to fit. The cuffs have been removed from the costume. There is a small Velcro patch on the left side of the chest for a Combadge (sold separately) to attach. Worn underneath the jumpsuit is an operations gold shirt that zips up the front. The outfit Includes a pair of boots. The inside tag reads “B. Williams – Stunt Data”.
