STAR TREK: TNG “CAPTAIN PICARD” RIDING COSTUME

A costume shirt featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes “Family” and “Starship Mine” with trousers corresponding to the latter episode. The aqua colored shirt features an asymmetrical front that fastens with snaps and clasps across the body and permanently rolled up sleeves while the trousers are grey riding pants made from corduroy with a diagonally opening pocket on the right front and leather knees for saddle use, as well as a dark maroon jacket with two differing fabrics. The costume in its current configuration is representative of “Captain Picard” as portrayed by Patrick Stewart in the episode “Starship Mine” wherein a group of terrorists attempt to steal tri-lithium from the deactivated warp core of the “Enterprise-D” and the only person who can stop them is the captain himself! A shirt like the one in the lot was featured in the emotional episode “Family” in which Picard returned to Earth after his crippling stint as the human speaker for the Borg Collective. The interior of the trousers have been inscribed ‘Patrick'.
