STAR TREK: TNG “THINE OWN SELF – SKORAN” COSTUME

Record summary

A costume featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Thine Own Self” wherein Data (Brent Spiner) suffers amnesia while on an away mission to collect radioactive fragments from a probe that has crash landed pre-industrial planet of Barkon IV. The costume is that of veteran character actor Michael G. Hagerty who portrayed “Skoran”, the blacksmith of the village. The costume is made up of a vest and tights. The vest is made up of hand-stitched pieces of blue-grey leather. Decorative buttons on the outside hide clasps and purely functional buttons on the inside. A few spots on the back are distressed to make it look more like a garment worn everyday by an actual blacksmith. The tights are a matching color to the vest, have an expandable waistband, suspenders, and sewn in feet which are slightly faded in color. The costumer's tag reads ‘#268, Thine Own Self, Skoran, Michael G. Hagerty’.
