STAR TREK: TNG “FAMILY – CAPTAIN PICARD” CIVILIAN COSTUME

A costume featured in the emotional episode “Family” of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Following on the heels of “The Best of Both Worlds, Parts I and II” wherein “Captain Picard” (Patrick Stewart) was assimilated into the Borg Collective and thus forced to use his considerable experience to defeat and kill a Starfleet armada against his will, he was reclaimed by the crew of the “USS Enterprise-D” and his short life with the Borg saved the day. In “Family” the “Enterprise-D” and the crew are making repairs and Picard goes to his home in France to see his family who he has been away from for years. While leaving the ship and approaching the vineyard he grew up on he is wearing this costume, taupe wool trousers with a tan pleated shirt featuring an asymmetrical front with snaps. The costumer's tag reads ‘#178 “Picard” Patrick Stewart (civilian costume)’ and lists the components. The shirt also features a sewn in tag reading ‘STAR TREK TNG John Mayhan’.
