STAR TREK: TNG “KIVAS FAJO COSTUME LOT” FROM “THE MOST TOYS”

Record summary

A costume featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Most Toys”, wherein a devious trader fakes “Commander Data's” (Brent Spiner) death so that he can be added to his collection of “antiquities”. This costume is for wear by Saul Rubinek in the role of the pernicious trader “Kivas Fajo”, and is a long-sleeved, leg-less, leotard that is half purple velvet and half a stretchy purple fabric with gold trim around the collar, and decorative sewn cuffs. Also included is a purple jumpsuit that fits over the leotard with corresponding purple velvet and gold trim stripes that go diagonally down from the right shoulder, equestrian style trousers, matching purple/gold leather belt, a zip down the back, and stirrups for the feet; an interesting hat made of latex with purple velveteen fabric, darker purple velvet, and gold colored accents. British actor and little person David Rappaport was the original choice for this role but sadly, he committed suicide after filming only a few scenes. His costume is full-length, long-sleeved jumpsuit made from six different fabrics in individual designs, stitched together in patchwork fashion, a blue leather belt with gold trim, zips down the top and bottom, and zip cuff adjustment around the ankles; a vest of still two more different designs in patched together in the same way, and oversized, gold cuffs.
