STAR TREK: TNG “THOMAS RIKER COSTUME” FROM “SECOND CHANCES”

Record summary

A costume featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Second Chances”, wherein the “Enterprise-D” crew finds that a unique distortion field created a copy of “Lieutenant Will Riker” (Jonathan Frakes) on a planet that “Commander Riker” helped evacuates eight years before. This costume is for wear by Jonathan Frakes in the role of a transporter induced “copy” of “William T. Riker” when he was still only a lieutenant and still involved with “Deanna Troi” (Marina Sirtis); it is a 2350's-2360’s version of the standard Starfleet uniform in Operations yellow with the right sleeve completely torn off, only a short sleeve left on the left side, and torn raggedly at the waist. Also included is a long sleeved, teal-colored tunic with tears on the right sleeve, the left sleeve torn short, gray, equally distressed, trousers, and stirrups for the feet. All articles are distressed as to appear that they had been worn for the last eight years. A sewn in tag reads ‘Star Trek: TNG, Jonathan Frakes’ and the costumer’s tag reads ‘star trek – next gen #250, Riker, William Frakes, (second chances)’.
