STAR TREK: DS9 “TORA ZIYAL COSTUME” FROM “IN PURGATORY'S SHADOW”

A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “In Purgatory's Shadow”, wherein “Commander Worf” (Michael Dorn) and “Garak” (Andrew Robinson) investigate some intelligence they receive that suggest that “Enabran Tain” (Paul Dooley) is still alive. This costume is for wear by Melanie Smith in the role of the half Cardassian/half Bajoran daughter of “Gul Dukat” (Mark Alaimo), “Tora Ziyal”, and is a full-length, long-sleeved, chocolate-colored dress of a reflective fabric with a textured design of pinkish-purple and mauve, a purple, pleated, satin panel along the chest and down the back, matching, reflective accents, a neoprene suit sewn into the lining, and a zip down the back. Melanie Smith is one of three women to play the role of “Tora Ziyal”; the other two being Cyia Batten, and Tracey Middendorf. A sewn in tag reads “Deep Space Nine, Melanie Smith’ and the costumer’s tag reads’DS9, Ziyal, Tracey Middendorf’.
