STAR TREK: TNG “COMMANDER RIKER HOLODECK COSTUME” FROM “HOLLOW PURSUITS”

Record summary

“Commander Riker's” (Jonathan Frakes) 19th century period costume made for wear in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Hollow Pursuits” in which a troubled “Lieutenant Barclay” (Dwight Schultz) created a fantasy in the holodeck. The costume includes a purple shell patterned coat with stylized slits in the sleeves and front to reveal the cream shirt underneath. There are purple bows on each shoulder and one on the back. A larger blue bow is on the left shoulder. Silver colored trim and metal octagonal buttons with black centers are added for detail. The patterned purple breeches have lacing at the waist and purple bows on the cuffs. There is also silver colored trim and metal octagonal buttons with black centers are added for detail down the sides of each leg. The sewn in tag in the coat reads “Jonathan Frakes” and “Johnathan” is penned into the inside of the trousers. A sewn in tag in the breeches also indicates wear by another TNG actor.
