STAR TREK: DS9 “STARFLEET ENGINEERING DEVICE” FROM “SOLDIERS OF THE EMPIRE”

A Starfleet engineering device featured in the foreground of a scene with “Worf” (Michael Dorn) and “Nog” (Aron Eisenberg) in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode, “Soldiers of the Empire”. It was also used as a laser tortch in Star Trek: DS9, “Destiny”. The device is made of resin painted gunmetal gray and copper color with a metal base and clear acrylic tip. A black button on the handle activates a red light that shines through the length of the acrylic tip. It is powered by a standard 9V battery (not included) that is accessed by removing a single screw with an Allen key (Hex key) in the back and then using the Allen key to pop the cover off by pressing upwards inside the hole. Measures approx. 12 ½ x 4 ¼ x 1½ inches.
