STAR TREK: VOY “DR. CHAOTICA VIEW SCREEN” FROM “BRIDE OF CHAOTICA”

Record summary

A piece of set dressing featured in the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Bride of Chaotica”; wherein photonic lifeforms mistake “Tom Paris's” (Robert Duncan McNeill) “Captain Proton” holodeck program for reality and attack the antagonist of the program, “Dr. Chaotica” (Martin Raymer). This item is “Dr. Chaotica’s” communicator/view screen in a design reminiscent of what would have been considered “futuristic” in the 1930’s; a large, rounded, rectangular base featuring two dials on the front, one for decibels and one for channels, three toggle switches, a knob, and three banks of three white “lights”. On top of the base are two cranks on the sides, two metal spires behind them with clear orbs on top, ribbed, metal base, a large, round, gray “screen” featuring the symbol of “Dr. Chaotica”, silver-colored details, and an electrical cord with standard, two-prong plug in the back. On the side are a group of wires, one with a radial activation switch on it, leading to an open circuit-board device that reads “4-ch Rope Light Controller” with another knob and a three-station switch. All electronics are untested and the item measures approx. 13 X 20 X 33.5 inches.
