STAR TREK: TNG “BORG COSTUME” – FEMALE - DISTRESSED

Record summary

The Borg are an eclectic race of cyborgs with a single goal – perfection. There are no individuals, only members comprised of many species that were assimilated into the collective. They are considered to be the most threatening force in the galaxy. They were featured throughout the Star Trek anthology however this style of Borg was featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series in episodes such as “I, Borg” and “Descent, Parts I & II”. The costume includes a black waffle knit jumpsuit with built in feet and a zip up the back and between the thighs. Worn over the jumpsuit are distressed latex rubber, resin and tube attachments that fasten onto the body with Velcro. There is a lower abdominal section, a breast and back plate that is designed to be one piece however due to time and use it is broken into two pieces that need to be reattached to each other for it to stay on the body. Separate biceps and forearm attachments that all fasten with Velcro. The thigh and calve pieces fasten with Velcro in the back. All of the attachments are incredibly detailed with wires, paint, textured surfaces etc… Due to time the glue holding the Velcro strips in place on the limb components has, in some cases, lost its adhesiveness and needs to be re-glued. The actual rubber elements however maintain their integrity.
