STAR TREK: DS9 “CARDASSIAN CONSERVATOR KOVAT” FROM “TRIBUNAL”

A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Tribunal”; wherein “Chief O’Brien” (Colm Meaney) is brought before a Cardassian tribunal on charges of collaboration with the Maquis and finds that in the Cardassian justice system he is already guilty and must prove his innocence. This costume is for wear by Fritz Weaver in the role of the Cardassian equivalent of a lawyer, “Kovat”, it consists of a long-sleeved, rust-colored, turtle-neck sweater featuring raised, vertical stripes and a dark-gray patch of fabric sewn onto the bottom of the shirt to be tucked in. Rust-brown trousers made of a textured, chenille cord, a vest featuring a pattern of teal and rust diamonds with trapezoidal inserts on the chest; a long-sleeved jacket featuring neoprene sewn into the arms, a matching teal and rust-colored checkerboard pattern, and functional pockets near the waist. Sewn in tags read ‘Deep Space Nine, Fritz Weaver’ and the costumer’s tag reads ‘DS9 445 Tribunal, Kovat, Fritz Weaver’.
