STAR TREK: DS9 “PROP FLUTE W/CASE” FROM “PLAYING GOD”

Record summary

A prop item featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “Playing God”; wherein “Jadzia Dax” (Terry Farrell) and her Trill Initiate discovers an ever-expanding proto-universe that could take over the entire Bajoran system and the station has an infestation with a Cardassian vermin called the vole. This item is a flute that “Dr. Bashir” (Alexander Siddig) gives to “Chief O’Brien” as a joke with a note that says “It worked in Hamlin”, as he gets more and more desperate to rid the station of these voles; it is a silver-colored, prop metal flute that actually looks like the one the “Pied Piper” used to lead all of the rats out of the town of “Hamlin” but isn’t hollow and doesn’t have any holes to blow are into or cover up to make different notes. The flute sits on a bed of gray padding in a gold-colored, rectangular case featuring several metallic graphical application accents that bear minor wear due to time and storage. The flute in the case measures approx. 13 X 3 X 2.5 inches.
