Record summary
A costume featured in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “The Emperor’s New Cloak”; wherein “Quark” (Armin Shimerman) and “Rom” (Max Grodenchik) follow the mirror “Ezri Tigan (Nicole de Boer) to the mirror universe with a stolen cloaking device as ransom for the release of the Grand Nagus. This costume is for wear by the cult favorite, Star Trek veteran, and one of only a very few people who have played more than five roles on various Star Trek series, Jeffrey Combs, in the mirror version of the treacherous “Brunt”; this costume consists of a long-sleeved, dark rust-colored shirt with a design of tiny yellow squares on it, three sheets of extra fabric used to make the shirt, and a long-sleeved, brown jacket featuring a pinched, textured feel to it and black rubber accents around the cuffs. A brown vest in the Ferengi style featuring small, black, vinyl dots of fabric forming vertical stripes down the garment, a black, vinyl accent around the bottom matching the one around the cuffs of the jacket; black and brown overall-style trousers with stirrups for the feet. Included is a one of a kind belt in a faux scale pattern and featuring an attached knife sheath, phaser holster and numerous accents made of beads, pieces of metal, leather cord and multiple pieces of actual electronic circuitry all combined to create a work of art in itself. All items are distressed for effect in the form of mild fraying or tearing but every garment features a sewn in tag denoting it for wear by Jeffrey Combs as does the costumer’s tag which reads ‘DS9 #443, Brunt, Jeffrey Combs’.
